Beekeeping For Hope began with our original queen bee, Phoenix, named for the distinctive pattern on her thorax. She arrived as part of a locally caught swarm and was placed, along with her colony, into our very first beehive. She arrived as part of a 'prime' swarm, and quickly began cultivating an extraordinary team of dedicated and gentle honeybee workers and drones.

All of our working queens are descendants of Queen Phoenix, Queen Mountain and Queen Breeze.

We’re sponsored by Eco-U

We have an amazing partnership with the incredible bee friendly team at Eco-U. They kindly sponsor two of our colonies. In one colony lives a queen called ‘Eco’ and in the second colony resides another queen, this one is named ‘Magnetta’.

Both colonies receive much needed help and support to keep them, and all of our bees fit and healthy.

Owner and founder of Eco-U “I want to make a better world for my children. On my eco journey, I found gaps in the market so have tried to create products to fill those gaps that are as plastic-free, sustainable and support environmental charities”.

Why not sponsor some of our bees? Please check them out on Etsy: ECO-U.
